Abdulla Al Gurg to Highlight Tiger Woods Dubai’s Role in Sport Tourism at MEED Dubai Mega Projects 2009

Dubai-UAE: 14 March, 2009 – The Tiger Woods Dubai, a member of Tatweer Dubai, today announced Abdulla Al Gurg, Project Director, will highlight key elements of the highly anticipated golf development and its ramifications for sport tourism in Dubai at the MEED Dubai Mega Projects 2009, held from 15-17 March at The Westin Hotel.
A leading forum for Dubai’s large-scale projects, the event will enable participants gain access to cutting-edge information on the current status and scale of the ongoing projects in Dubai. The Tiger Woods Dubai promises to offer a unique golf experience that epitomizes excellence and meets premium quality standards. The development continues to progress, with the completion of bulk earth works and 2,243 trees already planted on the golf course and a further 6,000 in the nursery.
Grassing on the fairways of Holes 4 & 5 is complete in addition to rough shaping on all 18 holes, of which 10 have been finely shaped. Construction is also complete for the main canal and one of the lakes that will lead to over 3.3 million sq. feet of water features incorporated into the golf course.
