The Tiger Woods Dubai Extends Agreement with Desert Landscape

Dubai-UAE: 17 March, 2009 – The Tiger Woods Dubai, a member of Tatweer Dubai, today announced the signing of a new agreement with UAE – based Desert Landscape for continued landscaping works at the landmark development.
Desert Landscape, a member of the Desert Group, have already played an integral role in the development of the projects 28 Hectares on-site turf nursery and 30 Hectares tree nursery, providing more than 11,000 trees and 150,000 shrubs to the golf course alone. The new agreement confirms their commitment to the construction of specific golfing components, such as cart paths, lakes, streams & waterways, subsurface drainage and automated irrigation systems. To date grassing is complete on two holes and the third is in progress.

The Tiger Woods Dubai promises to be a golf experience that epitomizes excellence and meets the highest standards of quality. The development continues to progress, with the completion of bulk earth works, 2,243 trees already planted on the golf course and an additional 6000 in the nursery. Grassing on the fairways of Holes 4 & 5 is complete. Furthermore, rough shaping is complete on all 18 holes, 10 of which have been finely shaped. Construction is also complete of the main stream and one of the lakes comprising of the vast 3.3 million sq. ft. of water features incorporated into the golf course.
