The Tiger Woods Dubai Hosts French Media Delegation in Association with DTCM

Dubai-UAE: 4th March, 2009 – The Tiger Woods Dubai, a member of Tatweer Dubai, today announced the visit of a French media delegation in association with The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing to the landmark development, the centrepiece of which is the world’s first golf course design created by Tiger Woods Design –the Al Ruwaya Golf Club.

The delegation, which consists of a number of journalists representing various sport, business and lifestyle publications, will be given a site tour of the development and a presentation of its various components. These media have travelled to Dubai in order to gain a firsthand insight into the growth and development of the golfing industry and its impact on the economy and tourism in the region.

The Tiger Woods Dubai promises to be a golf experience that epitomizes excellence and meets the highest standards of quality. The development continues to progress, with the completion of bulk earth works and 2,243 trees already planted on the golf course and a further 6000 in the nursery. Grassing on the fairways of Holes 4 & 5 is complete. Furthermore, rough shaping is complete on all 18 holes, 10 of which have been finely shaped. Construction is also complete of the main stream and one of the lakes comprising of the vast 3.3 million sq. ft. of water features incorporated into the golf course.
