Tiger Woods Dubai Team Member Wins Distinguished Award From Golf Inc. Magazine

Dubai-UAE: 8th August, 2009 – The Tiger Woods Dubai today announced that Operations Team Leader John Blanch, has been named as one of the 20 “Most Admired Operators” by Golf, Inc. Magazine. Selected by a panel of industry experts and recognized for his commitment to quality and excellent customer service, Blanch was one of only two operators outside of the United States given such a distinction. Blanch, also the Director of Operations for IMG Golf Course Management in Dubai, has been working closely with The Tiger Woods Dubai team since early 2008.
With extensive experience in Europe and Asia, Blanch is responsible for deploying IMG’s services to Al Ruwaya Golf Club at The Tiger Woods Dubai. He works hand in hand with the project’s Executive Director Abdulla Al Gurg, and with the club’s General Manager, Patrick Bowers, in developing the club into a model of innovation and operational excellence.

The Tiger Woods Dubai has contracted IMG Golf Course Management Services to provide a number of services at Al Ruwaya Golf Club, including its pre-opening, clubhouse operations, golf course operations, membership program and major golf tournament procurement.
Al Ruwaya Golf Club, the world’s first golf course designed created by Tiger Woods Design, will be a 7,800 yard, par 72, 18-hole championship course that will provide a strategic and dramatic test for golf players of all skill levels. Six tees on each hole provide a variety of length and challenge for all golfers. Featuring dramatic elevation changes, lush landscaping, and stunning water elements, Al Ruwaya will create an aesthetic experience unlike any other in the region.
